Pai Mu Tan white tea

White teas are extremely valued and the best sorts come from the province of Fujian in China. Tea leaves are not treated as they are in producing green tea, but are only let to dry out. They are consequently of uneven shapes and take up at least twice as much space as other teas.  Based on the latest research they are believed to contain substantially more antioxidants than the green tea. The white tea ingredients are very efficient in combating free radicals that cause the aging of skin; its essence has been thus increasingly used in cosmetic industry.   PAI MU TAN consists of typically large brownish-green leaves that brew a light yellow liquor of sweet taste, which is very different from the taste of other white of green teas. If we reduce the quantity of tea leaves we still get a pleasantly aromatic beverage to enjoy also in the evening.
