Product description

This matcha tea comes from Kagoshima on the southernmost Japanese island of Kyushu and is an organic tea. Matcha Supreme is our mildest yet most aromatic matcha tea. It has an intense, vivid green color and has a characteristic, very soft, almost creamy taste. When we drink tea, a pleasantly sweet aftertaste remains in our mouth for a long time. It is produced from Okumidori and Saemidori cultivars, using only the most delicate and freshest tencha tea leaves, harvested in early spring. Due to its mild character, it is suitable both for true tea connoisseurs and for those who are just getting to know matcha tea.

Preparing matcha tea is very interesting. For drinking, a special, larger bowl is used - CHAWAN, and it is good to have a bamboo whisk - CHASEN, so that we can mix the drink evenly and efficiently. For dosing, we use a special bamboo spoon - CHASHAKU, but if we don't have one, an ordinary teaspoon will of course also work. Place a heaped measuring spoon of tea (2g) in the cup, then pour 1-1.5 dl of hot water over it, which should be around 80°C. We first slowly dissolve the tea with a whisk and then stir it with very fast movements in the shape of the letter W in the middle of the bowl (the whisk must not touch the bottom during this) until we get a drink of a uniform green color with a soft and dense foam on top. If we do not want to have lumps in the final drink, it is recommended to sift the tea through a fine sieve before preparation. By repeating the process, you will soon find the right tea-water ratio that is closest to your taste.

The box contains 30g of hermetically sealed tea powder.
